Kristann Orton is the Principal Consultant at Inceodia, an experience business design company. Inceodia specializes in helping businesses explore new possibilities for growth through indelible customer experiences, diverse thought leadership and sustainable value services. Kristann brings to her leadership position at Inceodia over 20 years experience leading new startup businesses at Hewlett-Packard and advising Fortune 50 customers in their implementation and organizational change endeavors. She is known for her unique and flexible approach, guiding clients through a journey of discovery with an easy going, quiet intelligence, creating tangible steps to achieve their big picture goals. She was one of the core founders of the Halo Visual Collaboration business at HP, turning the industry on its head with a “just like being there” video conferencing experience. By designing a studio environment with partner Dreamworks and a unique installation and concierge service, Kristann created a profitable annuity business with a guaranteed customer experience.
Throughout her career at HP, Kristann had the privilege of leading some of the company’s initiatives for inclusion of diverse cultures in leadership roles and community involvement through United Way. In 2011, she was a recipient of HP Winners Summit award, for her global leadership of the Halo Sales and Marketing team. She was also honored as a participant in HP’s LEAD program for promising future leaders. She has inspired audiences of over 1,000 colleagues with her passion for experience design and led cross-functional teams of HP executives from all over the globe.
Kristann holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of California in Santa Barbara and a Technology Leadership Certificate from Portland State University in Portland, Oregon. She belongs to the Technology Alliance Group of Northwest Washington and the Society for Women in Science and Technology in Canada. She is the Canadian Parents for French representative for her local school and Globe 2012 Speaker Center volunteer.
Kristann is an entrepreneur and mother, with three young daughters filling any available gaps in her time. An avid sailor, the best place to find her on a summer day in the Pacific Northwest is on the water, with a smile of pure joy on her face. Although she is now firmly an urbanite who flirts with vegetarianism, she got her start as an entrepreneur at the age of 9 when she raised and sold her first pig at a market auction. Her farming endeavor continued over the next 5 years and funded her first car at the age of 16, an orange Subaru with surf racks on the roof.
